Can I create copyrighted characters, brands, or real people?
7ART lets you create a wide range of original content, but requests involving copyrighted works, trademarks, or a real person's identity, likeness, or voice may be restricted — and even when they are not, using them can create problems for you later.
Here is what to keep in mind, and how to get the result you want without them.
Existing characters, logos, and artwork
Avoid asking for exact copies of protected material you do not have permission to use. That includes characters from films, games, and books; brand logos and trademarks; and existing artwork or designs.
Describe what you actually want instead:
- The visual style
- The mood and atmosphere
- General characteristics
- The composition or artistic approach
Rather than naming a protected character, describe an original character with the look, mood, and setting you have in mind. This usually produces a better result as well as a safer one, because you are describing your idea rather than approximating someone else's.
A famous artist's style
You can describe the creative qualities you are after — a mood, a color palette, a visual approach, a general artistic direction. Avoid requesting a direct reproduction of a living artist's work or a copy of their particular style.
Real people's faces, voices, and likeness
Be careful with anything involving a real person's face, voice, or identity. Do not create content that uses someone's identity in a harmful, misleading, or unauthorized way.
This matters most for celebrity likeness, voice cloning, and anything that suggests a real person said or did something they did not.
Uploading photos of other people
Only upload material you have the right to use. Your own photos are fine. So is content you have permission to use. Someone else's protected work, without authorization, is not.
You are responsible for making sure what you upload does not violate another person's rights.
Why a request like this might be restricted
Requests can be restricted when they involve protected characters or brands, unauthorized use of someone's identity, copyrighted material, or other third-party rights concerns.

Getting good results without protected material
- Create your own characters instead of adapting existing ones
- Describe the direction you want rather than asking for a copy
- Work from original ideas and references
- Make sure you have permission for anything you upload
